Classifications of Motorcycles

People have different reasons why they want or needs a car or any automobile such as motorcycles. Most people buy them for transportation purposes while others buy them for recreation purposes. If you are buying a motorcycle, you should know the different classifications of motorcycles before you buy one. I recently bought a motorcycle among the honda motorcycles that I was choosing from and there are some good and interesting stuff that I’ve learned from my motorcycle dealer and I would like to share some of them with you.

The first types of motorcycle are Cruisers and Choppers where the rider gets a straighter sitting position and feet are forward. Because of this position, such motorcycles are generally more comfortable as compared to other motorcycles. Cruisers and Choppers are what we can also call as big bikes and a good example of this type are Harley Davidson bikes. Touring motorcycles on the other hand, are perfect for frequent travelers. Theses types of motorcycles usually have a storage area for your extra luggage.

The last type of motorcycles would be the Sports motorcycles where the designs are optimized for speed rather than comfort. Good examples of such motorcycle classifications are motocross bikes, grand prix motor cycles and cross country motorcycles. Before buy a motorcycle, make sure to determine what you want to do with it and know what classification of motorcycle can give you satisfaction.

Setting Up A Ride

Most people just let their cars the way they bought it especially if they acquired a brand new one. However, I am one of those people who will do everything to make my car looking at its best. This hobby of mine is shared with a friend named Jeff. Every weekend right after his cooking classes, he would drop by at our house. We would then hang out in our garage and we would experiment in setting up my car.

We have been successful with this quest so far.  My car is not yet a good entry for a car show competition but I am positive that we are not far from that. I’ve spent a lot of money buying a lot of car accessories and I will not put all our efforts in to waste. So far I have purchased one of the best headlights in the market and a really cool body kit for it and my next plan is to put decals in it. We are just finalizing the design before we execute the plan.

I am not yet going to post any photos of my car as I want this to be a surprise for my friends and blog readers. Let’s just see my cool ride once all is done.

Saving or Spending More

There are people who are claiming that getting a car is an investment. However, others say otherwise because the value of cars depreciates like crazy. Now I’m wondering if getting a car will really let you save more money or will it just expose you to more financial risks. In my own opinion, when you get a car, you will definitely spend more money as compared to taking the public transportation. However, you are paying more for convenience and safety.

If there’s something that you can save in having your own car then it would be time. You can go to any place at any time that you want with your car. Just imagine if you badly need to go to a place and you have to wait for a bus for ten more minutes. People have different views about getting a car but I think that having a car in today’s world is definitely a must. It’s not about spending more or saving more but rather is it a need?

Car Racing Games

My passion for cars and other automobiles goes beyond just reading about them and looking at pictures. It has actually been my lifestyle and almost everything that I do involves it. It’s probably not surprising to know that I am also addicted to car racing games like Need for Speed. I actually once planned to enroll at a school like http://www.iadtvegas.com/ where I can get a degree in game design and development and develop my own car racing game.

Well I may not be the person who is most enthusiastic about cars but I’m certainly one of them. I have probably played all the car racing games in every single game console that you can ever imagine. Of course, as I said, my favorite game is NFS Most Wanted Edition because here you get to set up your car and customize it depending on how you want it to look. The racing game is also extra exciting because you will be pestered by police cars who will try to stop all the racers.

Another thing that I like about this game is that there are a lot of things that you can do in it that you should and could not do in real life. This is great for people like me who loves to fantasize about gorgeous cars.

The Perfect Polish

Every car owner treats his own car as his pride and this is also the same for me. I don’t want to see any dusts on my car and neither do I want to see any scratches in it. One of the ways to keep your car looking good all the time is to polish it on a regular basis. This process must be carefully done and a simple procedure should be followed. To start off, wash your car using a solution that is specifically formulated for cars. This will remove the surface dirt and dust on your car.

After that, wipe of excess water on your car before you putting car polish. You can use a synthetic leather in doing this. After applying car polish to every inch of your car, buff your car using a soft micro fiber buffing cloth. Make sure to pay extra attention to little corners of your car that you might miss.

By following these simple steps and doing them in a regular basis, you can be sure that you are always driving a hot ride.

Future Cars Designs

It is really amazing how cars and other vehicles evolved over the past years. There have been some futuristic visions about them in the past and I can tell that we are not far from seeing them turn into reality. In addition to great designs, there are a lot of new feature being added to cars every year. With the latest technology, design program and creativity of car model designers, I’m pretty sure that people will be amazed what future cars will be able to do.

One of the latest additions to cars is the auto drive feature where you can drive a car for miles without holding the steering wheel. This is of course only possible is freeways where there’s a lot of space for your car and the road is just straight. Cars that have this feature are usually luxury cars. Another new car feature that I love is the stability control system where the car’s tires and suspension adjusts by it self when the steering wheel loses control. This avoids accidents and provides added safety.

There are a lot of new features in cars and it would take me forever to describe them all to you. With continuous car technology innovation, we can expect a better ride each time a new car model is released in the market.

Discount Gas Cards

When gas prices were one dollar a gallon, you rarely heard anyone complaining about the gas prices. Once they hit that three dollar a gallon mark, it seemed like the whole country went mad. Like anything in life, there are plenty of ways to save money on gas. Below, we’ve listed a few ways on how you can save money so you don’t have to pay the full price at the pump.

Check the Internet

The Internet is filled with a ton of information, you basically have the world at your fingertips. There are plenty of web sites out there that will show you how much gas is in your area. Believe it or not, a few miles can make a difference when it comes to a price per gallon. Check web sites like gasbuddy and gaspricewatch when it comes to checking out gas prices in your area. When you find a cheap price, make sure you drive or make way for that gas station.

Target the poor areas

If you live in a fairly moderate neighborhood, you may want to jump to the other side of town and go to that gas station. Make sure that neighborhood is safe before you fill up. The reason poorer areas have cheaper gas is due to the property taxes, etc. Poorer areas generally have lower taxes, therefore making gas prices a lot cheaper than the wealthy areas.

Sign up for for a wholesale club

Places like CostCo and Sam’s Club always have cheaper gas that the mainstream gas stations. This is because of their membership fees. In order to fill up with gas at these gas stations, you’re going to have to have a membership to fill up. Sometimes you may find that these memberships pay off for you in the long run because of the savings. Other than saving on gas, you’ll also find that the prices of goods in the store pay off as well.

Consider a discount gas card

As mentioned in the title, this is probably the best way to save on gas. There are so many credit card offers out there, some people forget to realize that there are ways to save money on gas. A gas rebate credit card generally allows you save about five percent per gallon. This may not sound like a lot but this is five cents per dollar. If gas is at three dollars a gallon, you’re saving fifteen cents a gallon! As you can imagine, this can add up quite quickly.

Use your imagination when it comes to saving on gas. Other ways to find out how to save on gas are local gas price wars, where the owners will compete by lowering their gas prices, look for cash only gas stations as these gas stations offer lower prices, and another way is to look for coupons. Yes, gas stations sometimes do offer gas coupons. There are a ton of ways to save on gas and you shouldn’t be paying full price for your gas anymore. By: Tom Tessin
